*sigh* Ok. Does anybody know how and where I can download videos from youtube, which in the end will work on both Windows Media Player and Windows Movie Maker?

thanks Jack. The downloading works, but when I open it in Windows Movie Maker, only the Audio plays, and no video. It isn't even shown as a video file, although it can play on only one specific player. And that isn't Windows Media Player.
I need this because I am wanting to do something.

You need to get the correct Codecs.

Other than that, you can always turn to a media encoder. I think there's a Windows Media Encoder 8 or 9 that you can get. You can capture video and audio on your computer with it. If all else fails, try that.

But you have to be careful when picking which format to change it to.

I tried all those, yet I still can't get it to work on Windows Movie Maker...
And Leigh, I picked the first option. Was that the right one?
