I was just thinking about relationships when I wondered what other people's idea is on how big an age gap there should be in a relationship.
I my opinion i say 7 years max.

I think 4 or 5 depending on the maturity of both.

I think it depends I think that an 8th Grader can go out with a 6th grader but like I think if their both in he same like divison of schooling (high school, middle school) it's okay

I would agree with broadwaydude; however, I do believe that whenever you are out of ghigh school it is like 7 years, but love comes at different ages so if you truly love someone it should not matter.

Age is but one factor to consider. There's life experience and maturity, too.

But during adolescence, even a little age difference can mean big differences in things like maturity and life experience (to say nothing of needs and wants). So, I'd say that during adolescence, closer age is better. When you get older and are all matured, maybe the diff isn't such a big deal b/c many of the things that make for those differences have levelled off.

I believe its all maturity. Like, my parents were about 22 each when they got married. But then, when my mom got married and was much more mature, her chosen husband was 10 years older than her. So, tis all maturity.

In highschool, if they are mature enough, then a two year gap is about okay. I think seniors after freshman is a little pedo style in my school at least.

ummm... well... considering my dad is nearly 50, and his girlfriend is 21, i guess age doesn't really matter. however, the relationship is in china (both live there), so i guess ethics are different there.

1-7 for me,
It just depends.
I don't liek dating people younger than me.
It's a maturity thing,
I like to be on the same level.

Being 19 now, I'd say 2 years younger....but when I get older, like in my mid-20s, I'd say 5 years at the most. I'm not really sure how much older...I suppose about the same.

I agree that it depends on the maturity level of the people involved. However, in high school it becomes hard to find two people even two years apart in age that are at the same maturity level. That changes really quickly afterwards though - my parents were 21 and 18 (almost 19) when they got married. (It's weird to think that my mom was married by my age, lol. I'm totally unready for something like that!) It increases the older you get - my grandparents were 35 and 26, and in the newspaper today there was a story about a newly married couple who are 91 and 72...

Age doesn't make any difference to me.

There is an 11 year difference between my significant other and I.
We usually get along great.

In teenage years, about the same is probably better. Give or take one year maybe.
And for adults, i don't think anything from about 1-10 years older is fine.
