soo yeahh, i was thinking lotion for a week or more....

Not lotion! It has alcohol in it which will burn and add to the irritation! Use Vaseline JELLY for a while, it'll be fine.

Vaseline jelly is the best, apply it twice a day and try to not wank for a week or two and it should heal up :)

My view is that you should not put anything on your penis for the time being and just let it heal on its own. If you have cuts on your shaft, then you should use some bacitracin/neosporin or their generic equivalents just on the cuts. As the others have said, just hold off on masturbating for the time being so that you penis can heal. Make sure to continue to maintain good hygiene, and keep the area clean no matter how much the soap stings when it touchs your raw areas. My guess is that you should be all right in a week or so.

In the future, you probably should invest in some lube so that you will not have so much friction thus causing your rawness. Using household items like creams and lotions are fine, but never use soaps or medicated products as lubes. The ideal thing to use are lubes designed for sexual purposes, and you can usually find them by the feminine hygiene products in most stores. Use a store with self checkouts if you are embarrassed to buy lube on your own.

Ahh! I remember now. When I was I bit younger I always overdid it. This happened to me all the time. Give it like 3 days. It's streched skin, maybe even cut a bit. This happens either when your hand is too dry or you just over-do it. Its all cool. its painful, but fine. Never tried vaseline, im sure it would work though.

use some moisturizing lotion. or some calamine lotion. i wouldn't say its bad, just don't let soap hit your penis(or shampoo, etc.). that'll just ruin your day. dryed out skin on your already irratated penis.
