Has anyone ever made a comment about your chest or armpit hair?...or frankly any body hair for that matter...What were you doing when they did, how old were you and how did you feel after they made that comment? Thanks.

Yeah, on my armpit hair, from my mom, my dad, and two of my friends.
I lifted my arm up, and they looked down my sleeve.

I had comments made about my chest hair that was developing when I was a freshman in high school, and it was made by this one kid in gym class in the locker room. At first, I felt awkward being hairier than the others and having this one kid point it out. However, once I realized it was just this one kid who was so fixated on my hairyness, then his comments no longer bothered me especially when other folks were really tiring of his comments. My guess is the kid to whom I am referring was very jealous that I was so developed as he was totally hairless despite his being somewhat big for his age. In the end most folks wished they could be as hairy though being hairy is really overrated.
If folks are giving you a hard time for being hairy, then just realize that they are either jealous or just have never experienced seeing anything different before. Especially if and the others are new to puberty I am guessing that when you all were boys that most of you all were the same in being relatively hairless. However, puberty is a shock to a lot of people, and they try to divert their awkwardness by pointing out different things on others so that they themselves won't be noticed for their own abnormalities.

being hairy-it's not that great....
and thanks for the shirt idea =) i have the opposite problem. i'm 13 and quite hairy, but no one else in my class is, so i shave it. it gets annoying after a while. consider yourself lucky =)
no body really cares if you don't have body hair, and even if someone DOES comment on it, just say that you shave it. deodorant works better without pit hair anyway - just say that. they probably wont laugh, but if they do, you know they are going to try it when they get home.

I love being hairy. My dad has commented on my armpit hair and the strip of hair going to my navel, he said he was proud I was becoming a man.

Thanks so much for the posts guys, please keep them coming. Also, for those of you that had someone point out hair that was growing, was this the first you noticed the hair there?

That can be a real ego buster when relatives, of all people, tease you, and I always make a point of never commenting about any family member's appearance when they are in puberty except to say something positive.
If your cousins are younger than you, then my guess is that they probably were used to you being just like them until recently, and they probably are amazed about your changes. Most likely they don't completely understand what has happened to you, and they probably resort to ridicule to deal with something they do not understand. If you cousins are older than you, then they probably are shocked to see a guy who was probably a little "squirt" suddenly become a man, and they probably want to feel that they are still kings of the mountain. Also, they could just be innocently joking around with you letting you know that you are part of the hairy gentlemen's club.
I would say the first time I really noticed hair was when I was 12 and saw it on my legs. I was really freaked out at first, and I could not understand why I was developing hair there. Of course, sex ed classes eventually reassured me that I was not turning into some werewolf.

I started growing leg hair and pit hair in 5th grade, so I've had comments a lot. In junior high I had a lot of stomach hair, so I got remarks about that in the locker room too. I don't mind it that much, but being hairy kind of sucks. I think hairless is more sexy! Well, maybe a little bit of chest and a little bit of a happy trail, but not what I have, I'm a fricken gorilla.

Being a hairy guy is not all bad, and there are definite advantages of being hairy. I would say the biggest boost that hairyness gives a guy is that folks will never mix you up for a girl as sometimes happens with younger guys, and with your looking very mature folks may treat you a lot better than your friends who might still look like 6th graders.
Basically, don't feel down if someone makes fun of you for being hairy as being hairy makes a person look distinctive especially among a bunch of guys who are as hairless as little kids. Think of yourself like Sean Connery who was a pretty hairy guy, and who was one of the best James Bonds.

I've had lots. Mainly from my friends, and normally only in a jovial way.
One of my mates commented on my 'yeti legs' as he called it, and he soon had a pain in his arm after i had given him my response.
Also, my arm pit hair was turned into a discussion with some of my mates! They said i had loads compared to them.
They now realise that i'm way ahead of them in the stages.
But overall, the most comments have been made about my moustache! Which gets a little boring after a while. But...that's life.

My mom noticed my armpit hair and made me shave it off once :S .
And my friends noticed my pit hair cause I was the first boy in class to get it, I remember one time on the beach when I was 12 and I already had huge bushes under my arms that one guy commented on that and I kinda felt embaressed
