Help needed for the Love Incompitent

I am kinda confuse right now. I have known this really cool, goodlooking girl for, like, 5 years, and I have always thought of her as a very close friend, but now, its a new feeling. Whenever I am around her I am happy, or content nomatter what surroundings. When I'm not I wish she was there. I am starting to really "like like" her. We have been slowly getting closer, sharing ice creams and stuff, the works, and I don't know what to do. If I ask her out, and she says no, will it hurt out relationship as friends? If she says yes, I have NO girl ex. whatsoeer. I know what she likes and dislikes, but I don't really know how to be a good bf. Could someone give me advice on how to ask her out, how to keep the relationship going, and how to be a good bf?

this has happened to me too. Ive known this girl for such a long time and i have been her friend and now i have feelings for her. I asked her what she thought of me and she said she had had some feelings for me for some time. So it all worked out well. it depends on how close u are friend wise

My best friend & I started going out last month in October & we have known each other for 6 yrs and I guess we both had started getting feeling for a long time now more then just best friend like.
