Just tonight, ive noticed my anus becoming really tender and uncomfortable. I felt around a little and an area of it is abit inflamed and has kind of risen. Could this possibly be a hemroid? And what should i do about it? Thanks

My guess is that you have a hemorrhoid, and you have nothing about which to worry. I would suggest that you head over to your local drugstore or discounter and pick up some over the counter hemmorhoid medication like Preparation H. Make sure that you keep the area really clean, and only apply the hemmroid cream/lotion after cleaning the affected area.
Over the long-term, you should ensure that you do not strain when having a bowel movement. As a result, you should take in a lot of water to make sure that you do not get constipated. Also, adding fiber to your diet can go a long way to preventing hard stools. Fiber can be found in a lot of foods such as leafy vegatables and in salads. Also, taking fiber caplets is another great way to fulfill the required amount of fiber you need for your diet.
I would suggest that you check out the following link from the Department of Health and Human Services as it has a lot of good information on hemorrhoids and how to deal with them: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/hemorrhoids.html (The general website of the Department of Health and Human Services can be found at www.hhs.gov).
Finally, if things get worse or do not improve after taking over-the-counter medication, then see your doctor.

I would doubt this is a true hemmorhoid. Those are varicose veins in the anus, a varicose vein has lost it's natural elasticity, so they 'bulge', causing the pain and inflammation associated with hemmorhoids. Although 80% of all adults have them, they occur with age, and as a teenager, I doubt they'd be that worn out!
Chances are you irritated your anus by passing a hard stool, and it's reacting as most parts do, by being swollen and painful. Put a thin coating of Vaseline JELLY in and around the area, and drink a lot of fluids (the best stool softener outb there!), and don't force BM's.

How are you today? Let me know quick cause i have good information for you as ive had very similar symtoms to you a few weeks ago which turned out to be a perianal haematoma, if that is the case then you need to get to hospital urgently.

Hemroids are small swellings which grow inside the anal canal. They may become very large due to intense friction between the stool and the inner lining of the anus. This can lead to fissures developing within the anus, thus causing bleeding.& Those are varicose veins in the anus, a varicose vein has lost it's natural elasticity, so they 'bulge', causing the pain and inflammation associated with hemmorhoids. It's true.I agree.
