Sorry if this is the wrong forum but can someone help me out here? I have like purple circles under my eyes. My mom told me its because I dont get enough sleep but im pretty sure I do. On Weekdays I goto bed at like 10:30 and get up at 6 in the morning for school. And on week ends I goto bed like around mid night and get up like at 11 or if I was really tired noon. So I really dont think its because of sleep. Anyone know whats the problem?

It IS because of lack of sleep. You are only getting 7 and a half hours of sleep throughout most of the week. You should get at LEAST 8 to 8 and a half hours of sleep every night...

In reality 7 and a half hours is all some people need.
Do you have allergies? My brother gets dark circles under his eyes from allergies. That could be the cause.
It could be lack of sleep though. Try getting more sleep, and see if it helps.

I get around 4-7 hours on average, and I'm fine, but probably because my eyes have adjusted accordingly. You may just be expending yourself a bit too much.

Ya I have allergies. But wouldn't your eyes get red and stuff from them being itchy? Im allergic to cars, pollen those thing bother me the most. And like I always have purple circles under my eyes since like 5th or 6th grade. I just searched it on google they say that the skin is really thin under you eyes and theres a lot of vains and it created a pool of blood there. It said that you can take a hot shower and make the water cold at the end of the shower to get the blood moving. I will have to try that next time I take a shower. I also say that you could use cayenne. I also searched cayenne on google and its pepper so I dont know what that will do to help it.

Some adults may only need 7 and a half hours, but teenagers tend to need more (sort of like how infants can sleep up to 18 hours a day), it's possible that 8 or 9 hours would help you out, as has been said.
Try the shower thing in the mornings--it can't hurt. As for the cayenne treatment, I think you're supposed to eat it on your food. Apparently it can help to stimulate your heart and contribute to regulation of blood flow. Also, if you're not exercising regularly (not just P.E. at school, because I know most kids aren't actually working hard every day in P.E.) try that, it can help with circulation. The circles can also be a sign of dehydration, so next time you're thirsty, grab a glass of water instead of a soda, or bring water in your lunchbag instead of money for the vending machine. Another possible cause is anemia, specifically iron deficiency. A doctor would have to diagnose that, but you could try eating more lean red meats, leafy green vegetables, nuts, dried fruits...
If nothing helps, and you're not opposed to using a little make-up, most drug stores will carry a product specifically for under your eyes (your mom might have some, too). It looks like a lipstick tube, but the "lipstick" is a yellowish beige color. Yellow is opposite purple on the color wheel, so a few small dabs of that stuff can lessen the appearance of dark circles, whereas something like traditional cover-up would just make it more noticeable.
