Ok I know that when men get vasectomies they arent able to ejaculate or make sperm of any kind, so they REALLY dont want to get one, but girls, I'm just curious so please dont be offended, what is so bad about getting your tubes tied? besides no babies, whats bad about it?

i think it really is bad both ways personally, i think you should just use a condom or birth control, im not sure if the vesectomy is perminant but what if you wanted to have another kid.. you would be screwed.

A vasectomy is actually safer so that could be a reason why.

Just as an FYI, a vasectomy results in no sperm being ejaculated, as the little cord that connects the testes to the body is cut. Since sperm make up just one part of semen, the guy with a vasectomy can still ejaculate, and the total amount is just a little less than otherwise. Ejaculation, orgasm, arousal remain unchanged. The only diff is there's no sperm present.

In a vasectomy the Vas Deference is cut making ejaculation of sperm impossible. He can still ejaculate like sam said, but he is un-able to reproduce unless in some freak situation there was sperm present.

Plus, a vasectomy is safer (lower mortality rate and fewer complications) than a woman getting her tubes tied (also simpler, surgically-speaking), the recovery is quicker (back to work in a day or two, versus a week for a woman) and it's cheaper. For many couples, it's best for the man to get a vasectomy. However, even after my dad got one, my mom later got what's called an endometrial ablation, where they used a laser to destroy the lining of her uterus. The recovery for that still can be nasty (from a few days to a few weeks), but it's an alternative to tube-tying that has the added bonus of no more periods (it's possible to still have light ones, though, or spotting). However, it is 100% irreversible, whereas both a vasectomy and a tubal litigation are technically possible to undo.
