How come some videos do not load or take VERY long to load in FireFox, but those same videos load instantly in IE 7?

This is getting very frustrating and I hate using IE...

Anyone else have/had this problem or know how to fix it?

Some browsers can handle some things better. Internet Explorer is usually the best browser for compatibility, however other browsers can offer workarounds that offer similar functionality. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with YouTube videos, though.

You might want to try this: update your Firefox to the latest stable version, update your Flash (including Flash for Firefox) to the latest stable version, and update your Java to the latest stable version.

The two important things for YouTube are your browser and Flash. But, like many sites, YouTube uses a good bit of JavaScript that might be complicating things if your Java Runtime is out of date.

If all else fails, try other browsers. Avant Browser is a good extension of Internet Explorer that you might like. Alternatively, there's Opera and Google Chrome, but Google Chrome is very much beta and it's not guaranteed to work properly for every website.

Best of luck to ya!

I never have a problem getting YouTube to load. I use both FireFox and Explorer.
