I am getting a tad bit of facial hair...at the moment it isn't noticeable unless you are basically in my face (a couple of people have pointed it out though...but they were basically in my face) and i don't want to have to shave because that means asking mum and shell then insist on being there to buy stuff with me there also and thatll be well embarrassing i dont want to do that at all. what do i do

Your mom will most likely know what kind of razor to get you, so if you want, just ask her if she can pick one up when she's out or something you know?

the problem is telling her. shell make a big deal out of it. and probably panic. she doesnt like her kids to grow up

If you dont have the courage to tell her or to go buy it on your own, just go without. Everyone does it, so if you want a razor, find a way to get it.

just let it grow, she will notice it and tell you that you need to shave, and therefore she will buy you a razor

Ugh, I suppose that will have to do for now.
I mean it is a self-conscious thing really, other people don't notice, only if I look in the mirror closely do I notice

if its hardly noticeable you can probably get away without shaving for a while anyways. like the others have said already, just buy a razor yourself and shave it in private. your mum might not even notice?

Look at it this way:
When it does get noticeable and it is time to shave you will get people talking a lot more about it than when it is barely noticeable.
So it's better to start before many people notice so then they won't be like "ZOMG YOU SHAVED?!" when it gets long and beardy.
So I suggest doing it now

First you say you don't know what to do, and you don't want to shave. Which means you don't want to do anything. Next, you tell us that you don't want to just do nothing. So then you should shave.
It's not that big a deal. Either live with it, or get rid of it.

It's a tad bit of facial hair. I've been trying to get a razor for 2 years and I think I'm old enough but the hair hasn't started to darken and become noticable. Just let it grow and darken and then tell your mom that you can buy the stuff yourself and that she doesn't need to be with you.

There is nothing about which to be embarassed about getting facial hair, and I would not read too much into your Mum's reaction. It is always hard for parents, especially Mothers, to see their little boys growing into men as that makes parents start to feel old. If you do approach your Mum you have to not only make clear your needs but also let her feel that despite your developing that she is not old and is still needed. By reassuring your Mum that way she won't be a hassle when you go out to buy shaving products.
My suggestion is to approach your Mum about your issue, but tell her that while you definitely value her love and advice that you would feel most comfortable if you purchased your shaving things and learned how to shave from another guy. Good people to whom you can turn is an older brother, uncle, cousin, or any other male relative. I would discourage from trying to shave on your own the first time as it is so much better to have someone around to guide you through the process.
The following video can provide you guidance on how to shave, but, again, try your level-best to get someone to be there your first time so that you will know what to do if something does go wrong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALOKiXe1mSQ&feature=related

I shave daily and to be honest it really is a hassle. But my question is why would your mom flip out if you told her you need a razor?

i know how you feel my mum was going on about my little moustache and me having hair under my arms(because Moustache=armpit hair) and i felt like shouting at her saying "JUST DROP IT!"

Wow, this is weird, I had this exact same problem about 2 years ago, I needed to shave and I could see some mustache hair growing in, and then some people pointed it out, and I wanted to shave really bad, so I went with my friends to a local Rite-Aid and bought some stuff to shave, and a while later, my brother told my mom that he needed to shave and she got me some stuff too, but to answer your question, and you don't wanna ask her, I would just do what I did for a while and buy your own until it starts to get really noticeable and she'll know that you need to shave.... sorry if this doesn't help at all, I just thought it was weird that we had the same exact problem
