I feel down, embarrased and ashamed!!!

Well, I found out that i have to go to a special ed/reg ed high school, but im in special ed. that means i have to ride the short bus, and i don't get homework, and i don't have to take a backpack to school. i feel very ashamed for this. i probably can go to regular school in about a year, but i just feel so ashamed, down and embarrased. and not to mention it's my 1st year of high school. so what am i gonna do? i just feel like there's no hope for me, and i just want to die!!!!!

I'm sorry that sounds like a bad situation, but don't feel ashamed! you just need a little extra help and they said in 1 year you can go to regular high school right?
if you work hard maybe you will be transferred sooner than later.
Everyone thought Einstein had a learning disability but he turned out to be smarter than all of them, this doesn't mean you are stupid or incompetent remember that.

Listen, there's more to you than your LD. There's more to life than school, or which bus to ride, or what classes you take. Focus on the other parts of who you are, make the most of those. That's what makes you who you are, too, don't develop an identity just around one part of yourself.
