I have mentioned this a little while back. But on google, puberty101 is the 4th result after searching for "puberty". So this must mean it will get many hits.

But whoever maintains that site, have done a very bad job (no offense to whoever it may be). But come on, it's black with bright green writing. It's very messy, and looks like it has been knocked up by some 12 year old in 20 minutes.

Puberty101 is probably what brings in a great deal of our members.. and to put it simply, the site is a complete shambles.

Well I'm pretty sure the site is maintained by the GovTeen people, so I think that needs to be brought up with them...

As far as I know the GovTeen admins and Ricky (a GovTeen member that owns the site) are working on a new design.

Anyway, you may be suprised to know (I most certainly was) using Google Analytics, which monitors where our traffic comes from, very little traffic comes from puberty101. 6% of our visitors find VT through puberty101. Majority of our traffic (about 65%) find us through Google searches.

So its sort of a good thing we aren't entirely dependent on it but then again we probably could get more traffic if it had a presentable design. I know if I was signing on the very first time, I'd take one look and probably wouldn't stay on long and go some place else.

Puberty101 has potential to be so much more but redesigning an entire site from the ground up takes time I can imagine.

That's less than I thought. But like you said, it has huge potential. I was basing what I said on most of the older members, as a good majority found thair way here through P101.com

I think that they should just change the background and better organize it. Right now it just looks like one big mess.

It needs a complete makeover, so things are easy to find and give it a more professional look, in the same way the VT homepage was updated.

I can remember one instance where a member wanted to know where he can ask a question like they had on there but obviously the forums are better.
However, I agree it needs to be redone.

By the way it's not up to anybody at VT to get P101 fixed. We don't run that site, we just advertise there.

I don't understand which banner you're talking about, the one on P101 or the current one on the top of this page?

the link to virtualteen forums that was on there dosn't work half the time, but the one time it did work, i clicked it and got spewed into this racket..lol

it certainly does need a makeover. i have the sort of layout(like it was done on 'paint' on windows). whatever genius takes care of that site isn't the brightest of the bunch

Also, Puberty101 does need a makeover, but we do not control that. The only thing that we could possibly do is send another word to the webmaster of the domain, but if there are people already working on it, we don't need to do that.

It says it was copyrighted from 1998-2006, so from the last update was probably around 2006. Also, when I search "puberty" Puberty101 is 2nd highest, and the suggestion box has Puberty101 as first. So yes, it seems to be one of the first searches, and definitely redone. But to be honest, I don't think it should be #1 on our To Do list.

Listen, its not all about you. You are not the only person who wants to give p101 a make over. Unfortunately its not a simple process. Do you realize the amount of content on the site? Its not a 10 minute process. This has taken months and months, to get to the point we are at right now. p101 is getting a makeover, the content is being reviewed, it just takes time. We all have our own lives, school and jobs that we need to focus on. The site has been that way for over 10 years, another couple of months is not going to kill it.
