I am taking it for the 3rd time in my life. Once in 8th grade and I passes with a good grade, then summer school, and now 9th grade. Anyone else doing the same class more than once???

Because to get intoo geometry a year ahead you have to pass a really hard test at my school. Thats why I took summer school, to try and pass the test.

I had to do 8th grade math two and a half times.

First, I skipped a grade of math while homeschooled, and would have skipped a couple more, but then my mom sent me to public school. Even though I had already done 8th grade math, they wouldn't let me skip it. So I did it a second time.

The in 9th grade, they mixed up the curriculums somehow, and we did another bit of 8th grade math.

That sucked...

I have never heard of any reason to repeat a course just because you have to take a test. Are you sure it is not Algebra 2 you are in now because that is after Geometry...or did you take pre-algebra and then algebra 1?

Wow. At my school, you can take any other these classes in order or skip over a few intros depending on level. the * denote the highest level course track

Math C (Remedial math)
Intergrated Mathematics 1 (Freshman level)
Intergrated Mathematics 2 (Sophomore level)
Intergrated Mathematics 3 (Junior level)
Pre-Calculus (Senior level)
Calculus (Advanced placement level)

You pass the class, you get pushed into the next level.
Simple.

daammn that sucks

the school almost put me in alg. 1. again, even though i finished it, and started geometry. then i showed the lady my books, and they put me in geom.

maybe you should talk to the school?
