its normal because we are all curious. Any stupid idiot would probably say "no thats gay eww" but really it's natural to be curious, especially about anything and everything that has to do with sex because it's so new to us as adolesents. I agree with the others that it is normal to desire to experiment as many boys are curious about how their friends are progressing in relation to themselves. Many times guys want to make sure that they are normal and may wish to have someone with whom they can talk about their sexuality openly.

Experimenting does have its dangers, and doing such an activity is very risky to your overall friendship. There is always the risk that one of you could end up getting attracted to the other while the other one simply views your encounter as meaningless fun. Also, if your friend is someone who is very open, then there is always the possibility that he might tell others about what you both are doing which could cause you embarrassment if you don't want what you are doing made public. Also, in the heat of a the moment you two might end up doing something that you might later regret as a result of hormones overiding better judgment.

Basically, be careful with your body, and make sure that you set clear limits on what is acceptable and what is not if you absolutely want to go through experimenting with another person. Everything depends upon the relationship you have with your friend and how close you two are. If you simply want to have someone with whom you can talk about your changes, then you really don't need to experiment with him but rather simply talk and leave it at that.
