Two days ago my nighbor died. I didnt know him well or see him much but i did watch his dog for him once. He was about 56 and was very nice. His kids had gone of to collage and his wife died of cancer:( He was a very athetic person who ran and road a bike all the time. Somehow he died of a heartatack. For some reason his death has put me down so much and it feels like theres a hole in me. I dont know why im feeling like this

I'm really sorry, coner.
I think you might be sad b/c eventhough you didn't have a relationship with your neighbor, you still knew him, and when people we know die (esp. suddenly), we feel sad. It comes from the sense of loss, that something/someone that was there, however periferially, was still there, and is no longer.
It takes a while to adjust to the change of him not being there, as well as the suddenness and unexpected nature of his death. With time, the feelings you now have will fade. Until then, be extra nice to yourself, amybe find some people to talk with about it.

I can see why it would shake you, it must make you feel vunerable... It would shake any of us. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor...

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. I understand your being a bit upset.. Even when we don't know people very well, we still feel we know them to some extent, and if a sudden death happens, you get a lil shook up. Even when you didn't know your neighbor well, he's your neighbor and when people that even live close to you die you can still get upset. It'll be a bit weird not seeing him around anymore, but just remember what a great person he is, he's still there in your mind, and he can be there on the outside if you let him.

When I heard that one of my neihbors dogs died I felt horrible. I watched the dog a few times but it hurt. The pain will go away in time.
