Ok, first off, this isn't my work, it's the work of another person. It's called "Weather" and I read it today in Reading class.
Weather
Rain on the pavement
And a brisk wind blowing,
Of clouds there are plenty
Green shoots are showing-
Just the very kind of day
To walk the roads to Far Away.
Sun shining through the leaves
And a soft wind singing,
White clouds in a blue sky
And sea birds crying-
Just the very kind of day
To walk the roads to Far Away.
Snow softly falling down,
The gray trees hover
Faint and ghostly through the flakes.
The creek's frozen over-
Just the very kind of day
To walk the roads to Far Away.
Sleet striking on the panes,
Gales shrieking round the house,
Black clouds streak the sky-
This is no day for man or mouse.
O! It's not the time and it's not the day
To walk the roads to Far Away.
