Hmm well seeing as you've said that now you're depressed you listen to Slipknot and Slayer, try not listening to them. Also, if counter-strike makes you feel depressed then try not playing that either. The music and css could have some kind of connection with you feeling depressed.

I'm guessing though that it's just a case of teen hormones affecting you, not much you can do about that I'm afraid.

I'd try listening to some upbeat music, and getting outside instead of playing CS, if only to go for a walk or something.

I underlined the reason. It's called mood swings, it is sometimes more severe for others, but will -when you clear the minefield of puberty- wear off.

As for the music, -and this is just my opinion- maybe because (sorry if I offend anyone) that particular genre of music is synonymous with Teenage Depression, and it is stereotyped, that you feel that because you are depressed, that you need to conform in everyway. Music being one.

im usually depressed after playin counter strike.

Video games, release a chemical in the brain, called dopamine, which makes you feel like you are dying, or want to, maybe cut back or stop playing that game, or explore the possibility that any other games/or their content may be making you feel like this.

i feel like quitting school sometimes.

Maybe schoolwork is stressing you out. How about each night, and while doing homework, listening to soft, or soul, or classical music? It is shown to relax you :)

i feel most depressed when im tryin to figure out if im gay or just bi

OK- Now, I'm guessing you are curious, and indeed trying to figure it out. Maybe the prospect of being gay/bi is making you upset, or the idea of others rejecting you because of it. Have a look here, for more guidance on this topic http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18215

Well, to brighten things up, EVERYONE has thoughts about people of their own sex at some stage in their life, and 10% of men have thought of being gay before. There is NOTHING wrong with it. Sure, you may get a few mucky looks, but who cares? They don't know you! It's the person inside that counts.

Being gay or bi is not a big issue, my brother is gay, and it's natural basically.

Good Luck,
Dave

That is incorrect dopamine is not a chemical that causes ill emotions it is a neurotransmitter and it is associated with feeling good/happy.

As for the main post I would say do what others have said and stop playing video games and listening to that music.
I would say if it does not get better in 2-3 weeks see a doctor about it.
Although mood swings are common in teen age years it is never common to randomly feel depressed for more than 2 weeks at a time without a reason for feeling that way.
One more question is does it come in waves or is it a constant feeling?

Listen, it's endorphins that are released in the brain which cause that feeling of well being. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that's involved with certain brain functions, notably cognition, emotion, and perception. It has nothing to do with that feeling of elation, and only rarely is associated with depression. But that's a lesson for another time.

OK, in response to the OP's q, if you're feeling bad as a result of doing certain activities, then it's most advisable for you to stop doing them. So, if the video games are causing a problem, stop doing them. Find a substitute.

Likewise, if these thoughts about your sexuality are causing distress, maybe you shouldn't ponder them right now. You cannot really figure these things out right now, anyway, they come to you (or make themselves known) as you progress thru puberty. Thinking about them now isn't likely to resolve your doubts, and only seems to make matters worse.

If you cannot prevent yourself from 'going there', and you continue to feel really bad and it interferes with your other responsibilities and overall sense of well being, then you should tell your folks that you feel really bad about 'stuff' and that you really want to talk with a therapist and encourage them to find one for you.
