They do, but not as noticeably as boys' do. That is, don't expect your voice to drop a whole lot, or for your voice to be cracking terribly all of the time. Everyone's voice constantly changes. Your voice when you were little isn't the same as your voice is now, and chances are that in 10 or 20 years, your voice will be a bit different too (though most of the changes happen during childhood, after that it's not so noticeable until you start to become elderly). If this hasn't been happening long, it's also possible that you just have a throat infection, or are fighting something off. You probably won't get laughed at much, if at all, and anyone who does laugh at you will be over it after it happens once or twice--the good thing about kids these days, is that nothing is funny to them for very long, they soon move on to laughing at the next innocent bystander. So if you're imagining your voice squeaking when you're reading aloud in class, and everyone bursting into laughter, relax. A more likely scenario is a giggle or two from the class clown while you clear your throat, and then everything goes back to normal. :)

Chances are, it's more related to a cold, if your voice is so drastically different within a week. When guys in your class deal with their voices cracking, they don't suddenly have a deep voice, right? It kind of gradually changes. So just tell people you're getting over a cold and that your throat is a little funny still. I've never heard of anyone having a drastic, permanent voice change happening within a few days. You'll be fine. It's possible that your voice will just end up a little bit deeper than other girls', but it shouldn't be anything extreme. Just relax, like I said, it'll all work out.
