I found a website that is probably pertinent to this discussion. There are sounds known as "Binarual Beats", which are two tones within 30htz of each other, one in one ear and the other in the other ear. These tones make your brain go a little funky, causing your alpha, beta, theta, delta, and/or gamma brainwaves to synchronize and mix. This causes a change in consciousness. These changes can be used to lift your mood, increase your creativity, increase your problem solving ability and more. But it can also be used to replicate recreational doses of drugs.

Visit I-doser.com for more info.

I don't want to promote it specifically, but I have tried these things and they work, its not a placebo effect.

I've tried that before, though nothing happened. I think I just did it wrong though lol

But I guess I'll try it later today to see if it works on me.

Edit: You know, it makes me wonder, when they're testing these out, are their offices like full of people all weird acting from the doses? lol

Oh and I just saw this on their website - Its a dose called, Hand of God:
A dose that has been a lifetime achievement for I-Doser.com, and only held internal to I-Doser Labs for a very good reason: It isn’t meant for public consumption because it is considered just too powerful. It’s like the Holy One reaches from the sky, as you lay with closed eyes, and shows you the universe, everything, infinity. Only 5 people have ever witnessed the power of this dose, and it was put away in the I-Doser vault for fear of release. Fluttering eyelids, great and almost supernatural clairvoyance, rings of light and great insight, but all this comes with a price. It could also bring fear, an unknowing realization of self, and a breakdown of all senses. Weeping, fear, anger: you need to realize with such insight could come bad consequences.

It also happens to cost 200$, so I was wondering, would anyone ever actually try that if they had 200 dollars to ever spend on anything? Cause that description kinda scares me :eek3:

Awesome story about it, if I may. I Limewired almost all of the doses I have because I have no credit card, nor any money. Anyway, Hand of God is my favorite. it usually starts out really slow but it builds and builds in the end, it is SUPER intense... tonight while on HoG I had a vision I met God, and She was a Woman. She was naked except for a shawl of nature, and she was beautiful beyond comprehension. She asked me to give her a son to save mankind from itself. I obliged.

It was so amazing....

Most of them work for me to some extent, but it takes practice to really get into it. They sell CD's and MP3s of "simulations" which are like, shorter, easier to listen to versions of popular ones, that have some musical accompaniment to make it easier. They work too. It really takes a dark (or at least quiet and relaxed) environment so you can close your eyes and concentrate on the sound, then open your eyes (depending on the dose) to see if anything is different. My first one, Peyote simulation, made me see my posters dance to the music. it was pretty awesome.

Well, I just tried opium and I somehow fell asleep because I don't remember anything past me, putting in the earphones, laying down, and closing my eyes lol So that was kind of weird.

Oh and remember that you need earphones or headphone because it doesn't work from just listening to it from your computer speakers.

I use less intense binaural beats for things like getting to sleep sometimes... I must say that they actually can work. I'm too scared to try any i-Doser stuff...

It worked for me, it takes a while to get into and you have use headphones and be in a dark room but it worked, however i didnt for some of my friends so i guess it differs from person to person.

I've tried it more than once -- following the instructions properly -- and it does nothing for me.

Apparently it doesn't work if you have a pirated version, but some sources say it does.
Does anyone know if a pirated mp3 would work?

I'm not condoning Piracy here. but in likelihood if its properly done it should work fine. however sometimes on some people it just doesn't work.

Does it work? If everyone follows logical sense, then it will work for probably around 50% or more of people. Here's some of my suggestions for getting a better experience (or getting any effect whatsoever) when attempting to listen to an I-Dose:

[1] You must have a headset (headphones) for this to even be possible. Listening through speakers will not allow the sound waves to interact correctly with your brain. It certainly helps to have a good, quality headset that can produce clean sound with a wide range of frequencies. Anything that cost less than $15 (even $20) I would not consider quality.

[2] You should be in a relaxing, comfortable environment. Sitting in a computer chair in your kitchen while a family member is cleaning pots and pans does not count as a relaxing, comfortable environment. There are a few keys to this: a familiar, comfortable setting (i.e. your bedroom), dim and soft lighting (even no lighting), very quiet or completely silent atmosphere, and being comfortable with whatever you are sitting/lying on (i.e. a nice, soft bed or couch). It might be a better idea to lye down instead of sitting up because more blood flow will reach your brain.

[3] Clear your mind. Don't focus on the sound, but don't imagine and think about other things. Be carefree. Be sure to breathe well, too - but do not try to pass out by breathing too much. Allow your brain to get 100% of the oxygen that it wants.

[4] Keep the dose at a reasonable volume. You want to hear all that you can without it being too loud. Some doses have louder parts to them, but these are supposed to be loud - if you lower the volume, it might not have the intended effect.

[5] Go from start to finish through the entire dose. Do not pause, rewind, forward, or stop the dose in any way (even by removing one of the ear phones temporarily). Some doses have intense and sudden sounds that may startle you, but if you are shaken, get back to relaxing and experiencing the effects.

If you follow these tips, it should work. Have I gotten a dose to work before? Not really because I haven't had the opportunity. However, I have previewed some doses through my PC speakers...

Hand of God is not something to be played around with. Just hearing the sounds through my speakers had me startled. I intend to listen to it for real some day, but at a lower than normal volume.

Also, one of my long-time friends got into drugs a while ago. He then found this and substituted it for drug-use, which got him by. He listened to Hand of God one day and later told me that none of the doses affected him anymore. Before that, he would trip out to the Peyote dose all the time. I'm just getting that out there... Hand of God might be so intense that it prevents or dulls the effects of all other doses.

As a final word, I do not recommend trying this if you know or have reason to believe that you suffer from a neurological disorder/disease and/or circulatory disorder/disease of any kind. I do not recommend trying this if you have an addictive nature, nor do I recommend trying it if you don't want to. And if you like the software, support the company and actually buy it.

Just a quick note to everyone, as far as I know, the pirate version DO work but I don't think they work as well as the doses you would get from the I-Doser website when buying them. If you really do want to try it out, you might as well just go out and buy a small like $25 pre-paid debit card and buy the doses from the companies website, they're only around $2-$4.

Interestingly enough, it's not. It's hard to explain, but by playing two different frequencies in your ears, your brain's natural frequency will shift down to between the two. Or something like that.

Anyways, binaural beats have existed over 100 years.

It really isn't and if you don't believe it, then maybe you should try it out for yourself. The I-Doser website has free doses you can try out if you really want to. If you want to know more about how I-Doser work then read this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats
Its like, for instance, when your tuning a guitar and you play both string that sound the same, they have that certain sound to it, like the sound is a wave.

the files have to be in either a lossless file (e.g. FLAC) or the original file type, MP3 will not work.

Actually, the files are DRG files not FLAC files. The MP3's do actually work but as far as I know, they don't have as a strong effect as the actually DRG file used when using the I-Doser App.

Yes, in a way one of the doses I took (which I can't remember) did work for me but so far, most of the ones I've taken I either fell asleep or was really calm, thus, it didn't really have any effect on me. Now how would it be a scam when there's pages and pages of replies of people taking the doses and them having the resulting effects?
