Its not normal for family to have sexual relationships- Its called incest and it's illegal in the US.
Also, technically, he raped you because he thought you didn't know about it, and you were both under age.

But it is normal for teens to experiment, and it was normal for you to be aroused, so don't feel bad about that :)

On the basis of legally it is illegal in some states. Each state has it's own statute regarding incest. So in your state (whatever that is) it may have been legal or illegal...although that law really doesn't target you or the act that he did.
So it is okay for experimentation but what he did wasn't really normal.

Here's the thing:
-It's normal for teenagers to experiment, look at how many posts there are about it on here.
-It's not normal for family to do it too each other, does it count as incest? Well depends on your point of view as whether cousins 'count' as family.
-It's not good that he did it without your permission. Yes, you let him do it while pretending to be asleep. But what if it happens again and you are asleep. He could do something to you that could change your life for all you know.

Depends on what you call 'normal'.

Curiosity is normal, stimulation is normal, liking it is normal.

Doing it with a family member? Pretending to be asleep? I'm not so sure. But the issue isn't so much if it's 'normal', or incest or 'illegal', the larger issue is the wisdom behind it, if it's a good thing to want to do in the future. I think that's what you're asking, people who do things they like want to repeat them. You're asking us if it's a good idea to repeat this behavior, right?

The answer to that is that it's probably not such a good idea to continue this with a family member. Sexual contact changes the nature of any relationship, and not always for the better. And within a family, that can get a little tricky, b/c family means forever, whatever happens in the sexual relationship with a family member becomes a part of the family, you cannot really get away from him. That can complicate things.

If you enjoy this type of contact, it might be best to find someone outside the family to engage in this activity with.

QFT, incest is illegal in the United States, what he did to you was not moral or legal. You should avoid doing anything like that with him again. If the next you're with him he does that again, I would avoid him at all costs. What he did was wrong, and in a sense you never gave him consent, which makes what he did 'rape' or at least sexual assault or inappropriate touching or something along those lines. Basically, it wasn't right, its not exactly normal, and try to avoid it ever happening again.

Oh yeah, event though I'm not technically a part of the VT Type in English thing... "On the basis of legally" makes absolutely no sense, and it should say "statute" not "statue".
