Yes! I did Navy JROTC. It was a lot of fun. I did it for two years but then once I decided I didn't want to have a military career I decided not to do it for a 3rd or 4th year.
Do as much as you can while you're in it. It can offer you scholarships and even a higher pay grade when you first enlist in the army should you decide to enlist. Your instructors can provide you letters of recommendation when you need it in the future. So much opportunity so make the most of it.

What is that?
What does it do for you officially?
How do you get into it?

JROTC=Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp
To appreciate the ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship.
To develop leadership potential, while living and working cooperatively with others.
To be able to think logically and to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing.
To appreciate the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health.
To understand the importance of high school graduation for a successful future, and learn about college and other advanced educational and employment opportunities.
To develop mental management abilities.
To become familiar with military history as it relates to America's culture, and understand the history, purpose, and structure of military services.
To develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team.
Its a class you can take if your hs has it. JROTC has no obligation to get you to join the military and it does not teach you warfighting skills just so you know.

I have never even heard of that, but it sounds very cool.
I'm very curious, do you have to take like classes during it? Like maths, social studies, English, sciences? Or is it different?

Its scheduled just like a regular class in high school. You still take your regular classes but this is counted as an elective course on your transcript.
Like I had JROTC first period then the rest of the day I had my regular classes.
