There isn't much a demand for this ...yet. But just an idea. Maybe like a sub Forum for any question about parenting or something. Let's face it's becoming a common issue that teenagers of the younger age are having children or having accidents earlier. Maybe just a sub-forum where they an ask about parenting and stuff. Just a thought.

your grammar is fine.

actually, that IS a good idea. I mean, let's face it people do have babies, and VT attracts people who are more likely to do so(not a bad thing)

It would take a lot to keep that forum active.

I agree with you there Gwyn.

It is a good suggestion but it's going to take a lot to keep a forum about Teen Parents active as John said. It's not needed to make a new forum or sub-forum in my opinion. It fits just as good in Family and Friends.

FWIW, related to Alex's idea, a forum for parents, real live adults and real live parents of teens, where the misguided and confused parental units of the world could come and talk with some brillant teens would be a great idea. They'd have to register as 'Parents', with limited access for posting, maybe just that forum, but the idea of using our combined teenage experience to help parents understand their kids, awesome! And isn't that a way to help teens?

Yes, BUT; it could entice paedophiles to join through loopholes etc. It would be irresponsible and unsafe. It would be a good idea though if we moderated certain posts. Or made it only possible to post in a specific forum

I agree with you Michael. It could cause overaged members to join and that's one thing we don't want.

What if we don't allow them to view profiles or send private messages to regular members.

Parents aren't going to be allowed to register here ever. I can only recall 1 exception of that happening a few years ago but this is something that won't happen on a large scale. This is a site for teenagers only and always have been. Parents won't have a place here.

Members over 19 aren't allowed to register for a reason - member safety. Only those who are over 19 we allow are members who registered as teens and established a reputation in the community.

We are geared to serve teenagers, not parents.

Also, that is what the home page is for- with articles to help parents know if they have 'normal' kids.

Yeah, so why would parents go ahead and just register on a forum that they'll get just get banned from anyway.

As Nick said, we have articles on our homepage that informs parents that they're kid is fine.

Yep, and we clearly state:

VirtualTeen.org offers topics for parents so they can understand what their teenager/child may be going through. Unfortunately, adults of and above the age of 20 will not be allowed to register and interact with the Virtual Teen community, though we hope these topics may be of great help.
