When should I start shaving? I have got a slight mustache, but it is soft and I think i will end up hurting myself if I try to. I have no beard. I am 14, and my voice has just cracked, if that helps you answer my question.

When you want to really. You gotta learn how to shave eventually but if you don't feel comfortable right now and the unshaven look isn't bothering you then don't bother. You'll look much cleaner shaven without the partial look, though.

You'll only hurt yourself if you're not careful. Be gentle and go slowly and if you cut yourself it won't really hurt - skin heals.

just get an electric razor. then you don't have to worry about getting cut or anything.

Ok. I would say dont shave now. If you mess up, it'll hurt. If you dont, theres really no point in shaving when hairs at soft as you say it is. Trust me, despite you exaggerating about its shortness, my brother looks just like you.

when your mustache is very noticeable (mine is white but still quite noticible)
just look at yourself in the mirror, if you can see your mustache easily, then its probably time to shave (i wouldn't do full throttle shaves, just a little brush with a razor)

Shave when you want to. When it's too long or you don't like it.
Lets get one thing straight here. Society now is relying too much on being told how to run our lives. What we should eat, drink. How to do exercise, what to eat, drink during pregnancy.
It's all to mad. Puberty is a natural thing that doesn't need to be told what to do by people. When to start shaving for instance! This website is to guide and help people in puberty, not tell you how or what to do it!

Everything depends upon how much hair you have on your face and whether or not it is starting to make you look unkempt. If you are starting to get facial hair, then now would be a good time to start shaving if only for practice. My strong suggestion is to talk with your Father or older brother to learn how to shave as it is always better to learn from someone who is experienced as opposed to doing so yourself.
