Eyes Burning

So I rub my eye(lids)s a lot... And it never harmed my eyes until recently...
Now every time I rub them it starts to burn like hell.
This never happened before until a few weeks ago.
Yes, I wash my hands regularly, and no, I haven't been exposed to or handled any sort of chemicals that I haven't been exposed to or handled before...

Anyone know what the cause of this could be?

Well, who knows for sure, but if you say that you typically rub your eyes a lot, there's a chance you've irritated them.

Try avoid rubbing them, and use drops like Optive instead.

Sometimes handling certain food products like peppers can cause a bad reaction in your eyes especially if you have not had the opportunity to wash your hands with soap and water. If your eyes get really irritated, then wash them out at the first opportunity. Also, carry an eye drop product like Visine or its generic equivalent which you can use if you so happen to get problems.

The skin on and around your eyes is very sensitive. In all liklihood, you've irritated it. Try to stop rubbing for a while.
