It is most likely vaginal discharge, perfectly normal.

Everyone gets it, well females anyways.

If it was very thick, yellow, or dark, you might have a yeast infection.

Do you feel any pain?

To add to that, it's usually heaviest after a period, because discharge is a natural way for the vagina to clean itself.

And you should get checked out if it's thick, smells, causes discomfort or is an odd colour.

That may be a cause for concern, and with most infections, there's little or no pain. I'd recommend seeing a doctor, just in case. It's probably nothing, but you should make sure, and then you can stop stressing.

If there's a G.U.M Clinic near you, you should go there. You won't need an appointment, it's as anonymous as you wish and they can test for a number of things at once.

Maybe you should wear pads in your underwear. That way it won't get too out of control

It;s ok for discharge to have a bit of an odor. However, you shouldn't really be able to smell it except for when you're using the bathroom or changing your panties, and if it smells particularly offensive you should get it checked out. Discharge can be white or a little bit off-white, but as has been said, if it's seriously yellowish (or even green-ish), get it checked out, especially if the area is really itchy. Yeast infections are easily treated, and although they CAN be sexually transmitted (especially if your partner isn't very hygenic down there), you can also develop one on your own, so it isn't something you would need to hide from your mom. In fact, if you tell her what's going on, she may even be able to tell you its nothing to worry about, before you have to make an appointment anywhere. Remember, she's been doing this womanhood thing a lot longer than you have, and knows a thing or two about it.

you can wear pantie liners and use baby powder to control the scent and dry up the wetness.
