earrings hurt.. what the heck?

okaay, it's been almsot 8 weeks since i got mine peirced, so i changed the earring to another set of starters (i wanted the other color in..)


now my earrings hurt like i just got em pierced, well a lil worse.

i mean, this is weird...



why would this happen?

Is the piercing in the cartilage yet?

When you changed earrings did you notice any pus, discoloration, and/or a lump in the ear where the hole is?

If so, they are infected.

Try cleaning it, I used to use the stuff that Claire's gives people after they've pierced their ears and it worked for me. If not, try peroxide or rubbing alcohol. Clean the piercing and the earring, also keep cleaning it, about twice a day and it should go away. Also, since the piercing is semi-new they did mention to you to twist the earring inside you ear twice a day also, right? It will hurt but it keep everything the way it should be.

But just give it some time, really.

I hate changing earings I have guages and whenever I get new ones they hurt like hell!

second on the lobe. the one that's bugging me is also swolen a little (but not oozing goo, thank good ness). of course they told me to clean it :P i have been.

this is mainly checking that nothing's .. going seriously wrong or anything.

i was cleaning it again and now there is a little bit of puss. what now?

Clean it very good, put the earring back in so it doesn't close up.
Give it some time and keep cleaning it.

yeah, thanks. last time i got an infection it was over a year, so i just took the thing out for a week. can't do that now (i heal slow) :P
