Hello! I'm new here but I've lurked here for awhile. :D Nice to meet all of you!
Anyway, back to topic, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section.

First off I'm 16 years old, and been having an irregular period for years. And about 4 weeks ago I was with my boyfriend, and for a moment he rubbed his penis against my vagina opening. (Sorry I'm bad with terms.^^) So my question is, even though I'm a virgin, is it possible for his precum to get me pregnant? And it's really hard to tell because my period is irregular too. I'm so confused about this and worried, again I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. Thanks!

There is no sperm in precum so you can't be pregnant. It is a natural lubricant, nothing more.

Thanks, but I thought sperm was in precum...about 300,000 and then in the full ejaculate there's about 3 million?

Oh sorry, I was mistaken. You are right, there is sperm in precum. The chances of you being pregnant though are very slim because he didn't penetrate you. If you are still concerned then take a test, though it really is not necessary.

Actually its not un-common for the female to get pregnant if there isn't any actual penetration. In recent studies though the found no sperm in Pre ejacualte, unless there is prior ejaculation and even then there was sperm in small amounts. So yes you should be concerned and should take the necessary percautions.

No it's alright, no worries.^^

@Dizco: So it can still impregnate me even though my hymen hasn't been broken?

That I am uncertain about. As far as I know the hymen plays no role what so ever in protecting the egg from being fertilized. Still as I said use a condom it works alot of them time.

Heres' the right answer! Listen up.

Irregular periods are pretty common for a while. However, if you're menstruating, you're ovulating. Ovulation is what makes pregnancy possible. If it's irregular, it just means it's unclear when ovulation occurs, it's not on a typical 28 day cycle. This makes it more difficult to determine when you're most fertile, it's like a moving target.

'Pre cum' is LOADED with sperm! Anything wet coming out of an erect penis is sperm filled, and also remember it only takes one.

If he rubbed his wet, erect penis against your vaginal opening there's a chance for pregnancy, but not as good a chance as if he entered you, and/or ejaculated the entire amount (which is actually hundreds of millions of sperm).

Please be careful next time!

Alright, thank you, and I'll be sure to be much much more careful.. ^^;

So I got my "period", but it's really light and it's brown. It's been lasting for a few days. My doctor told me awhile back that it's dead blood, because I have irregularities. But is it a period, or is bleeding during pregnancy? I took a test and it said negative. I think I'm being paranoid, but I just need a second opinion.

Sounds like you're scared/paranoid. Just, in the future try not to do it again.:):cool::)

Don't worry--I really don't think you're pregnant. As has been said, pre-cum can contain sperm, but without actual penetration, chances of it even really entering you are pretty slim. To get pregnant, sperm has to get way in there, to the cervix. Pre-cum contains sperm, true, but it's not as much as semen, nor does it come out in such a large amount, decreasing the likelihood of becoming pregnant from that alone. Sperm can't live more than about 24 hours maximum outside of the body (unless preserved as in a sperm bank), so any that doesn't make it inside you is pretty much useless. On the slim chance that some did get into the vagina, rather than just on the outer parts, it's pretty unlikely that it managed to do anything. Remember, during sex, millions of sperm are released, and only one (typically) makes it to an egg. So when most of it is outside the body, the count is low to start with, you're likely to be fine (but lets not take chances in the future).

Getting your period, and testing negative on a pregnancy test, pretty much confirms all of that. Don't worry about it, and next time, either make sure that at least one of you has your underwear on at all times that contact may occur, have him wear a condom in those instances, or talk to your doctor about birth control. You've seen how scary it can be to wonder if you're pregnant--just imagine what it'd be like to realize that you actually are.
