What girls like?

(sorry if this has already been posted or is in wrong section) I'm going to be starting high school in a few days, and i've been wondering what most girls like in boys. I know a lot of people are going to say to be yourself, but if I be myself, I'll most likely be left out of most things like in my old school. I'm shy, don't talk much, and suck at every sport known to man, and i'm really only good with computers and video games, which, from experience, aren't really what most girls care about. I'm not planning on trying to completely change my personality, but I want to have some pointers so that I can change a few little things (like I could try to be less anti-social =/).

well really a good way to find out is to ask. Dont be shy go up to a girl who is smart and beautiful to you and you like, then ask her what she likes, hobbys sports and fun. That would be the best way to do it. =]

Most girls like guys who are themselves not guy who try to be something they aren't. Girls like guys who are open to them, and treat them nicely.

A bit of confidence always helps too. I'm not saying that girls like the guys who are loud and obnoxious. But guys who have the confidence to speak up and take part are going to be more appealing.

It's been stated before, CONFIDENCE. It's alright to be a little shy and quiet, but you have to be able to initiate conversation. And don't start thinking that no girl likes gamers or tech junkies, because all of my sisters boyfriends since her freshman year have been both gamers and tech junkies.

Instead of trying to change yourself to make them happy, wait until you meet one of them who make you happy, without either of you having to change.

Seriously man, (Even though I know you really don't want to hear this) just be yourself. Girls will like you for you. Yes, there will be girls that think you're weird, or just plain out don't like you. But who needs them? If you notice a girl flirting with you, or being extra kind to you (Which I know a couple will), don't be afraid to ask her out. I know should know, I've been there.
To make a VERY long story short, last year in my science class, this girl sitting next to me was being EXTRA EXTRA nice to me. Turns out she had a HUGE crush on me, I found this out from one of her friends over summer break, he told me she was kinda sad for me not going out with her. I felt SOOOO bad.
Anyway, just be yourself. Girls like guys who be themselves.

Don't be fake.
Pretending to be someone that your not to get a good looking girl will only make you unhappy.
Girls don't all like a particular quality in a partner.
If they did then all Boys would be striving to be " The perfect man ".
There will always be someone who will love you for your genuine qualities.
If they have any clubs at school, You can usually meet people there, that share your interests.
And female gamers can be pretty hot :D . . .

Confidence. It's probably the most important trait to have in life. Not only does it make you seem more attractive to the opposite sex, it also helps you get jobs etc.

Don't be loud or obnoxious....try and be yourself but try and care about what girls say. if your talking to them show interest...dont just say "oh...thats cool"
dont try and be cool either.
i dont mind shy boys either :] its cute.
