ok, so i have been listening to that song by kid rock - "all summer long" a lot and like it. i really enjoy it and one of the reasons is that it has the "sweet home alabama" tune. but normally, i hate re-makes, they just ruin good songs. what do you guys think?

I agree I hate remakes
They ruin the original
Unless I have never heard the original... Whichever I hear first, I usually like better.

Remakes to me destroy the original song, but sometimes not.

Depends. Cascada did a remake of a song by Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply - and I like Cascada's one waaay better. So it depends on the song.

Generally I say remakes need to be thrown in the trash.
There are only a few excpetions to this.

Quite a few remakes are pretty decent that I know, sometimes I prefer them to the original.

I like some re-makes, but then I don't like others. I do like "All Summer Long" though.
