this is just a question, but how do you get chosen to be a mod? i realize its not just names in a hat but what? years of service and good advice? rep points? or what?

Surely the staff only choose a new mod if they have a new topic forum or another staff member leaves. SO i guess it doesnt happen that often.

As the community grows more mods are needed so those aren't the only reasons.
