View Full Version : Denial

Atonement

I've decided to face it. I've been in denial. I've tried to ignore everything that happened. All the things that went on in the past year but I can't seem to get past it. Last time I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital, was primarily triggered by pressure in school which basically indirectly was triggered by the branches of my life. So, last time I was in school, I ended up in a hospital. Then I independant studied my way to finals and yes, summer came. And now, Summer is gone. So, in 10 days school starts for me. I've been ignoring this inevitable fact for the past 3 months and now, its here. Shit. So now all this denial I have pushed aside is meeting me head on. My anxiety levels haven't spiked like this in 5 months. And I am a typically anxious person so this is like, speed on over drive. I am freaking out and the one coping method I have, has turned out to be more harm than help. So, Im basically screwed right now. Especially at 1 am... Hmm. Sorry.

Find another coping method, Addison. Why does school make you anxious?

Well since you know the problem it's time to stop trying to cope with it. You need to fix it now. This is not something you can do by yourself, you need to go out and get help so that you can finally fix this and rid yourself of this anxiety and self harming.

"In for me, in for me, they've all got it in for me"

This sounds bad. You've past the first stage, accepting the fact that you have this problem, whatever it is. BUt now you need to control and get rid of it. Have you seen a physciatrist? It could help, just getting the problem of your chest by telling someone might make you feel a whole lot better.

It's a shame your so affected by school, like i said, i don't know what your problem is so, you could go to a physciatrist, it might help. Or you could fight this probelm on your own.
Which surely is very difficult and is one of the hardest things to do. Maybe find someone to support you and help you.
I hope you feel better and be rid of this problem soon. :-)
