the teachers in my new school (in BC) were getting mad at me because they were asking where the people came from (no one in that town is from there, its only 20 yrs old) and when i said im from dildo she said that language isn't appropiate in this school and she gave me a detention. bitch.

because im from newfoundland, a couch is a chesterfield, a boat is a dory, a dildo is those little rings on the dory that keep the oars on there and help you row, a gob is a mouth. so on and so forth.

I agree, even though it is a place, you obviously knew that it was unacceptable or you would be wondering why you got a detention, not mad at her for it.
If you still feel it was unjust, try talking to her and saying it really is the place you were born.

TBH with you, I don't really know if talking with her will help. Sure, you could explain that you weren't being rude or a smart alec, but I'm guessing you will still have to do the detention anyway. Similar things happend when I was at school, and yes, whilst it is your birthplace, you could have made an effort to string a few more words together to explain yourself better, rather than just saying "Dildo". Because I'm guessing you know the other meaning of that word and are smart enough to realise that's immediately what others' mind would jump to.

I think its just better to deal with the detention and be careful with your words next time. Learn from this and think before you speak because not everyone can assume what you mean... and with your situation its pretty obvious and doesn't surprise me she found it offensive. You should have known better but now all you can do is learn from this.

Next time I was going to try and say where you are from I would say something like "I'm from a town called dildo, it may sound like a weird name but its true and named after....."
Just so they understand.
