I need everyone opinion!

So theres a saying that goes like this.

"My bestfriends enemy is my enemy"

for an example, Jim and jake get in a fight and dont talk anymore. Bob is friends with both Jim and Jake. Since jim is mad at jake, jim tells Bob the he isnt suposed to talk to Jake anymore, and if he continues to talk to jake, than jim wont be friends with jake anymore, even though jake and bob are friends.

Does anyone agree with this saying? I really need you guys opinion!

You don't have to hate somebody just because your best friend hates them.
If you do, then it's like hating them for no reason sicne you have no personal beef with them.

I've been loyal to my friends before, by making their enemy mine as well... But I've been through a situation that has made my best friend choose between two best friends, and I realise that it's not fair on anyone.

You don't gain anything by following this. It is best to just leave them to it because ultimately it isn't really to do with you.

I don't agree with that statement. I'll be sensitive to my best friend by not mentioning the said person a lot, but I won't just drop the friendship just because my best friend doesn't like him/her.

i disagree with this statment, if everyones friends with someone and made their enemy theirs aswell the whole world would be slpit into aload of groups and there are already too many for my liking.
