Hunting.

Are there any hunters or target shooters on here? That is considered a sport to. If you hunt what do you hunt and what do you use. My farthest kill for a deer was at about 210 yards with my 30-06 Thats a long shot. So what do you guys got? Ill start

Deer-model 1894 Winchester 30-30 with 180 grain Remington rounds I fixed a scope on it to. I also have a Winchester 30-06 for longer range deer.

Rabbit- Marlin .22 or 12 gauge shot gun buck shot #4.

squirrel-marlin .22 or 12 gauge shotgun any high brass shells.

groundhog- marlin .22

fox- if its close 12 gauge or .22 if not 30-06 or 30-30 but then i really tear them up so i prefer close shots for fox.

Annoying neighborer kid- bb gun or paintball gun.

Actually hunters are a help to the ecosystem. The deer over population is a huge problem. And I eat ALMOST everything that i kill. I dont eat the groundhog or the fox. The only reason i shoot them is because we have a farm and the fox eat the chickens and the ground hog tear up our fields. And do u eat meat because it comes from animals that either get shot and are dead before they know it or they get killed the alternative painful way by some butchers. You might be a vegetarian i dont know but my belief is that god put animals on this earth for us to eat.

God is crap, thats a different arguement. Hunting is inhumane, slaughtering for eating purposes is humane. Foxes are low on their numbers more than you think. Plus if you kill the foxes your chickens will breed in abundance and there will be to many.

And that is mostly what i do i shoot them for the propose of food. And we dont have many chickens so there is no over abundance we are actually trying to tripple what we have. A fox got 7 chickens in one morning one time. didnt even eat them all some just where killed to be killed. So i shot the fox to make sure that doesn't happen again. Some people tell me just cage them but i don't believe in that. our chickens are free roam chickens. we dont cage any of our animals. we fence them in so that they can run around.
