okay so i know I have posted about this a couple times, but i did something new i had a couple questions about tampons...
so i should be getting my period soon and i didnt want to waste another million tampons by chickening out, so i took a hand mirror like half an hour ago and look down "there". it did make me feel better looking down there, but im really afraid about breaking my hymen, cuz it hurt when i tried to peel apart the really small inner lips....any tips?
im also really anxious about the angle im supposed to insert tampons.
thank you all so much for helping out, you guys. you have no idea how i appreciate it.

I am not a complete expert but I think you should be patient and just let everything happen naturally. Don't get to anxious about the angle of the tampon until you actually face that problem. Thats my two cents.

If your to scared to use a tampon then use a pad.

The tampons should come with instructions and these most commonly have diagrams to help you. If not, there are plenty of diagrams and instructions if you look on google.
When you get your period, don't just use tampons. There is a risk with using them incorrectly (Toxic Shock Syndrome) and I think they even advise you not to use tampons throughout the whole of your period.

No, when inserting a tampon it is easier to do when you are standing.

well personally i think tampons are cleaner than pads.
juss never use them when you sleep and never use them when u arent on ur period. you can get some kinda disease.

dont ever put in a tampon when your not on your period, its really bad for you.
dont leave it in for more than 6 hours.
but you can leave it in for 6 hours, wear pads at night.
and font be scared, it doesnt hurt, just sometimes will give you cramps.

putting in tampons when you dont have your period has been linked with tss. dont do it.
also, it will hurt more because your period acts as a lubricant.
heres some info about tss:
Is There Anything I Can Do to Prevent TSS?
Fortunately, there are some preventive steps you can take during your period to help prevent TSS.
The biggest step you can take to prevent TSS is to always change tampons every 4 to 8 hours. Using the proper tampon absorbency for your menstrual flow is also an important way to help prevent TSS. This means using higher absorbency tampons only on your heaviest days of menstruation. On your lighter days, use tampons with lower absorbency.
Tip: You may be able to significantly lower your risk of getting TSS by alternating tampons and pads during your period; use tampons only during the day and pads at night, for example.
Other things you can do to lower your risk of developing TSS include making sure that you always follow the directions that come inside each box of tampons you buy. Some people may try to convince you that you can lower your risk of TSS by using certain types of tampons. This is simply not true. All types of tampons, whether made from cotton or rayon, put you at risk for TSS.
Tip: Only use tampons during menstruation. If you need extra protection at other times during the month, mini pads are your best option.

tss is caused by leaving them in too long so just putting them in to pratice first shouldnt cause any harm (as far as i no since i am not a girl). but yes your period does help to lubricate the vagina so you might want to use a bit of water based lube (vegetable oil should work good for this ).
