How many of you actually watch 'em (with or without subtitles)?
It's just that my friends think it's pointless and wont wacth any if I want to. I know a lot of people who are like that, and personally, I think they're missing out on loads!
For example, the best horror movies are the Japanese ones, end of! I hate the american remakes, they're nothing on the originals. Also, some of the best stories are from other countries, whether they be based on real events or myths.
For those of you who do watch them, list your favourites. For those who don't, take some from this thread and watch them!
My suggestions are:
A Tale of Two Sisters - Japanese - Horror
Love Me, If You Dare - French - Romantic Comedy
I'm Not Scared - Italian - Thriller / Novel-based

Apocolypto...amazing movie. It's pretty much my favorite movie. Mel Gibson really does a good job with this one, as well as The Passion of the Christ.

I watch foreign movies quiiiiiiiite often. Two-three a month, I suppose. I can't recall too many titles, though. My friends and I often find ourselves watching them on IFC or On Demand. I just watched a French movie yesterday. I don't remember what it was called. It was basically making fun of American romantic comedies though. And the main character was totally adorable. Hahahah.
But my two absolute favorite foreign films
City of God and City of Men.
Both are fairly similar, done by the same people, set in the same place. But they're both absolutely, utterly fantastic. City of God is definitely one of my all-time favorite movies period.

My Life as a Dog was a really cute movie! I think that one won a Golden Globe award in the 80's.

I watch kung fu/wuxia films only in Chinese.
Aside from that, I obviously watch flicks in French, but I tend to prefer English.
Favourite movies : Kung Fu Hustle (Chinese), Shaolin Soccer (Chinese), Rush Hour series (English), any old Bruce Lee flick (English).

Yes, I like watch films in another language. English is foreign language for me and I really enjoy watching movies in English, it's good exercise. ;) I attempt watch without english subtitles, but they mostly help to understand every word, not only general meaning. :D
And did anyone try to watch films in Polish? xD
