how long does VT keep you logged in?

i'm just wondering how long the site decides you're still 'logged in' for.

If you choose the 'Stay Logged In' it keeps you logged in forever
I have never been logged out except a couple time when I have switched web browsers
Edit: No wait, it just logs you in automatically and keeps you logged in, when ever you come to the site.

I do believe its 15 minutes of idling before you become logged out and considered offline

It's worded "Remember Me?" if you're logging in by using the top right part of the page.

It's worded "Remember Me?" if you're logging in by using the top right part of the page.

that doesn't keep you logged in though. It just remembers your username right?

wrong. your brouser remembers the password, vt will log you in when you come on


my bookmark is my profile page, & i only actually log in about once a month (clearing cashe)

It uses your browser's cookies to keep you logged in. But once you clear your cookies your logged out and have to log in manually.

When I was gone for a few days and returned, I discovered I was logged out and that my password hadn't been 'remembered'... But other than that, I've always been logged in and have never logged out...

Well I figured that if on VT you clicked the remember you box that it would only remember your username like many other sites. However, I do get the option from my browser to remember the username and password but whatever.
