hey ive got this really sharp shooting pain in my sholder that makes my shoulder hurt everytime I move my arm up or down or hold it strait out. The other night i was playing WoW and something jumped up and scared me. I jumped back but my hand stayed on the mouse and then the shooting pain started

you could have pulled a muscle in your shoulder try rubbing some icy hot on it and see if that helps if it persists i would go see a doctor

You could have dislocated it, I think the safest thing to do is to go to the doctor.

Doubtful.

it might be because mine is messed up, but it's not huge really. just stretch a lil and take a pain reliver

Word. I had a similar sensation this weekend at drum corps- Saturday afternoon I was playing and all of a sudden there was a sharp pain in my shoulder and I almost dropped my freaking trumpet. My friend massaged it out for me and he said my muscles there were so stiff and tense that it actually felt like there was a bone there. I can't even begin to tell you how freaking sore I was all weekend- it was AGONY. So yeah I've just been stretching it out a lot and I had some ice on it yesterday and now it feels allll better. Yay.

As other people said, take a pain reliever, stretch a bit. Ice it if you want.

If you ice it, put ice or an ice pack, wrapped in a towel, and put it on it. Leave for about 15 minutes, then off. Keep alternating. 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.

You could also try one of those Icy Hot patches or something. They make them that relieve muscle pain.

Thanks guys i did have a few icy hot patches and they help it feels much better now. Now as long as i dont cut my arm with my swords hopefully it wont hurt for a long while
