I saw this on tv and it got me thinking

When teens get pregnant there options are abortion, give it away or keep it
but the thing is
The father of the baby said he can't ever kill a living human but his girlfriend came with news saying that when they were younger she got pregnant and the first option he said was complete abortion and they didn't get their child and she said if you can't kill a human than why did you want an abortion and what he said was the baby isn't human yet so tecanally or what ever i didn't kill a human and people were buying it so this confused me i know when girls are pregnant there's life in them are't they human or not

this got me and my older brothers confused we thought that when there in the stomach there human but now i don't know well i do but aaaaaahhhh this confusing

Umm...what?!

I mean it depends upon the person if they think the fetus/embryo/whatever is conscience or not. (I think I spelt conscience wrong...whatever) It is debateable. For instance, I believe in abortion within the first three months. Some argue that it is still a human and it has feelings and so on but I agree its a human but it is not like it can think...it doesn't know whats going on...it doesn't have a brain then. Then it kinda goes into your beliefs and religions but I like to say away from that. it is a debate...

It has all the makings of a human.
The same amount of chromosomes,
And the potential to be born.
It IS human

It is the "begginning" of a human; but that's where the line between black and white tends to blurr to gray. Third trimester abortions are always like, FORBIDDEN, because after that many months you can actually RECOGNIZE the fetus as a baby child; and it does all the things babies do like kicking etc. However, when the baby's first concieved... its really not technically "alive" in a HUMAN sense; its just a bunch of cells dividing. These little pre-fetal cell forms have no conciousness; so if you abort them (although its bad, obviously) you can at least take comfort in the fact that this thing had no idea it was even alive, and cannot experience pain.

By those reasons... I'd never let someone abort a CONCIOUS fetus; it has a brain and "knows" its alive. The little clump of cells, however, doesn't even "realize" it exists since it has no brain.

This is why I hate the abortion argument. It's totally definitional. Sperm also has all the capabilities to be a human being. So does a drunken Friday night. But potential does not equal being.

However, I'm really uncomfortable about defining when life begins. There are very reasonable arguments for several points during development, at conception, at birth. You can defend nearly any argument for/against abortion; you can't really prove it.
