It may be, I would go to your doctor and ask them what they think.
If you don't want to do that, ask your parents to buy some over the counter sleep medicine **For Kids** to help you.

I don't think they make "for-kids" sleep aids. Insomnia is NOTHING to be ashamed of, so don't worry about telling your parents if you were. It is not like a puberty problem. I would suggest trying some way to relax yourself. If there is a lot of stress in your life then that could well be the reason why. If there isn't then maybe you should make sure you eat (because it helps me...idk maybe its me) and then purchase one of those soothing soundracks. If not maybe you can get some other type if soothing light or feeling thingy to help you. If that doesn't work then I suggest you parents make an appointment to see your doctor. They may prescribe you sleep aids.

Do you exercise regularly? Lack of exercise can cause insomnia.

Sometimes emotional issue can cause a person not to be able to sleep. If there is anything in your life bothering you, then there is a high probability that such problems could be at the root of your inability to sleep.
Another factor that you might want to consider is if your mattress, pillows, or bedding could be the cause of your problem. Perhaps you might want to start by getting new pillows to see if that can help you sleep better. Also, if your mattress has an indentation in it, which can happen after many years of use, then you might want to invest in a new mattress.
