Rant About An Employee

So, work has been interesting lately.

This is a bit of a rant, so just a warning.

Anyways, if you didn't know, I work at JcPenney's in the shoe stock room, if it gets busy I am also on the register. About all of the employees in the shoe dept. have been venting to me about one person (Anna) for a month now. I finally saw it for myself yesterday.

My boss is a pushover, four different people have complained about Anna, and nothing has happened. Nothing.

Okay, so yesterday, she comes in and is helping some people with shoes, they go to check out and then say "Anna has told me about a $15 off coupon" Laurie was on the register and confused. There was a $15 off coupon but only for Saturday, Sunday was 20% off just about everything. It's a big event and the associates were told way in advance. Anyways Anna comes back and gets upset and starts bad-mouthing her fellow employee's to the customer! That's a huge no-no. Plus it's just down-right disrespectful especially when she was the one in the wrong, one of the first thing selling associates do when they come in is look at the sale flier.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened with her. She's been rude like this and also she's been stealing people's sales. Which is also a huge no-no. Shoe associates get paid by commission so it's just like stealing money right out of their pocket.

Well, that's about it, we'll see if something happens with Anna because this is getting ridiculous.

Is there someone like an assistant manager who is a litttle below the boss that might take more action on the issue?

Nuh-uh, she's the only supervisor of this dept. the only other person to go to would be the store manager and he doesn't like to get involved in commission.

If it's getting to be that big of a problem, why don't you guys all get together tell your boss at the same time, it's more effective that way. We did that before when this guy Peter wouldn't stop talking about smoking pot and watching midget porn in front of customers, and needless to say he was out of there a few weeks later when she caught him in the act.

I suggest you go to the store owner or try to get to the manager even more. If all else fails go and complain to HR and they will probably do a full confidetial investigation if that stuff is true.

So ummm, I about bitched her out.

She made a dumbass comment at the morning meeting, and when she got back to shoes, I told her to ring out her own sales from now on. I was not going to do it, just stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. She flipped. She started yelling asking why and thats when I just told her, Hey, you've been a bitch to me, I'm done with you, fuck off.

She got pissy some more and I walked away from her in the stock room, when she came out she then said, "Well I guess I need to get a manager over here then don't I?"

I told her to go right ahead.

Cody came, he's a supervisor that used to work in shoes back when I was on the floor. He knew the way I am, and he's also been bitched out by her.

She started yelling at the top of her lungs at him, and he pretty much just nodded his head.

She ended up clocking out and going home. Now we found out that she put in a months leave.

Maybe she'll be better when she comes back.
