Serioulsy! For as long as I can remember, I've had terrible ear aches starting near the beginning of summer, and suddenly disappearing at the end!
This one started really slightly, along with a cold about a month ago... Normally, I go to the doctors and they give me ear drops, which just lessens the pain. But I can't be bothered anymore, and now it's more painful than ever!
What can I do about it and why it's it during the summer?

I don't know why it's during the summer for you. I had ear infections during the winters for the first 15 years of my life though...they suck...and the worst part is, they get worse as you get older, at least for me they did. Keep putting the drops in your ears.
The last ear infection I had was actually the most pain I've ever experienced. Both my ear drums broke. I have actually lost a good amount of my hearing in my left ear from it...They suck ass!!!

1. go to the doctors
2. take a pain reliver before you get the chance to go dumbdumb
and, do you swim in the summer? becaues i get more-or-less mild ones between september to march (swim season), it's water, and rubbing alchol gets rid of it (and the pain/preasure) (also cleans my peircings at the same time lol)

If you are swimming a lot, you are going to et swimmer's ear. It's bound to happen. I get it very badly, so I attempt to keep water out of my ears and not go under when possible.
If you can't go to the doctor, or don't want to, or whatever the reason may be, so be it. I'm pretty sure you can get OTC drops for something like this.
My friend puts Hydrogen Peroxide in her ears when this happens. You can hear it bubbling when she does it.

Also the fact that its been so dry lately that could also be a factor. Becuase your ear needs to stay moist and sometimes it drys out. So just be careful and if it persists tell a Doctor.

[No, I don't swim, my doctor once suggested that may be the problem...]
Ok, I saw the doc on monday... Got a script 'cause "it looks inflamed and there IS puss" went to pick it up and it seems to be out of stock every where! GRRRR it's ****ing annoying! I'm sooo ****ed off right now.

My guess is that the eutashian tube that connects your ear with your sinuses must be getting blocked up thus causing a build up of contaminents in your inner ear. One good remedy for your situation is to take Sudafed or its generic equivalent to relieve any swelling that you may have in your nasal cavity to see if that can unblock your eutashion tube. However, definitely keep in regular contact with your doctor if things do not improve, and don't hesitate to ask for a referral to an ENT, which is a specialist that deals with disorders of the ear.

You could also ask your doctor about some nasal spray that helps clear up your sinuses. I think pontiacdriver is pretty accurate about what could be wrong though. That is the cause of all my ear problems. And yes, if this persists, go to an ear, nose and throat specialist.
