Mm.
So I hit myself.
for no reason.
I just like doing it.
Like after I do something wrong
Or if I'm mad. I'll just slap, punch, kick whatever.
I'll just do it.

Have you tried to find a better vent than yourself? like maybe a jog or bike ride.
SOMETHING besides hitting yourself.

Well, a good suggestion would be to get a rubber band or one of those friendship bands and put it around your wrist. Every time you feel the need to hit yourself, pull the band on your wrist. Its still inflicting pain, but its more calm and less painful.

Do you hit yourself because you feel as if you deserve to be punished? Whatever is causing this you need to find out that way you can better control these urges.

um.. why do you do it? I'm gussing this is a bit of a rant(?) but do you want to stop?sounds simple, but just stoping is the best way (tho can be tough). ya should't feel like you hve to punish yourself for doing something wrong

I do try to stop.
I just don't want to hurt someone else or break something, so I do it to myself.

You don't need to punish yourself. Just don't do it again and go on with the day. You need to find a more healthy way to let out this built up frustration.

this was a very good idea. you can't really be 'to fat' to run. and even a long walk is helpful.

I just want to say that I also hit myself when I am fustrated or angry. I have always found it hard to express how I feel and so keep everything bottled up inside which is obviously not a good thing to do. I just get so angry with myself that I just want to hit me or "punish" me. Lately I have resorted to punching the wall although I also self harm by cutting.

A therapist did suggest to me to wear a rubberband on my wrist and snap that everytime I wanted to do it and that has sometimes worked so I would also suggest giving that a go.

Sport has also helped me to let off some steam! If you do not like running or bike riding you can try going to the gym, weights or boxing? I have heard from a few people that boxing has helped them.

Sorry if this isn't much help, just wanted to let you know that I understand how hard it is to stop doing it! x
