Death in dreams

ok guys i want a good long debate, use other sources all that i feel really strong on this one

If you die while your dreaming, your mind does not know it is a dream and will think you are actually dead, there for you dying in real life.....do you belive in this? i do....it makes perfect sense... your mind registers you died it tells your body to shut off, it shuts off you die...all their is to it

i dont think thats real, that would be like me thinking now i am dead, its only thought, same process when you sleep. it would take more than thought to shut down your brain, stop your heart beating and to shut down all your organs, i think it simply cant happen.

did you actually die? a lot of times people will say they died in dreams but actually be like .1 seconds away from death because, if we really died in dreams.....wouldnt we know what is after death, or see our own versions of what is after death...but we dont..we simpily wake up and such..

see, living proof that dreams dont affect ones health in real life. dying in a dream means nothing. if im dreaming and im flying through the sky, im not going to wake up with wings on

did you see this in third person view or....because i dont completly understand....

as for it only being a dream, that is so but, i just had a nightmare my brain was not able to say it was a dream, i woke up with my heart beating as fast as a horse.....so because i felt some way in dream my mind made my heart beat quick, so who is to say that the brain will not think you are dead and just make your body shut off?

I agree with Jon.

If you actually died in your dream and that dream kept going, then you could actually die.

I've talked to my doctor about that before, and she told me that could "be very possible, David."

And Cyrus, if you died like that, then they would have to write your death as unknown if your body simply shut down. But if you had heart failure, etc, etc, they'd do an autopsy to see........

But they could never really say "oh, he died of dreaming."

Your body would shut down from physical causes stemmed from mental causes.

so in essence what your saying is that there is NO way to prove people die in their dreams, but it still happens because you said so? very interesting how your logic works

but u havent been there before have you... what im getting at is you cant believe in things unless they are proven. everyone knows the moon isnt made of cheese because when astronaughts landed in 1969 they took rock samples. you cant believe people die from dreaming because its never been proven before

your minds top priority is to stay alive

if you cut your arm your mind will send more blood to it to repair it faster, thats why if you get cut deep enough your raise your arm up so you dont bleed to death

if what you said is true, that just because you dream you died that you will, then if you cut your arm your mind would say fuck it and cut off blood from getting to it

you cant just dream you die and your mind says "Oh i just died hm, lets send a kill signal to all these things that are still living"

I had a dream once that I was on my bike and someone in a pink car hit me and I died and I saw a bright bright hurt my eyes light and then I woke up......but I'm still here *waves*

i died again in one of my dreams! thats the third time this week. I was lying in my bed and these children were gorging themselves on a rotton human corspe. and then the corspe looked at me, and the children turned around and i knew they were gonna eat me, so I slit my throat. and woke up. *shivers* it was horrid. my other one, besides the one I wrote a poem about. I was shot in the stomach and was lying in a field with all this long grass around me, and it was stormy, but not rainy out. and I was sobbing and bleeding on the ground and my lover was kneeling over me, crying and yelling. and I was telling him that I loved him and that He needed to go on, and then the clouds parted and an angel started desending to me, and I lifted my hand up to her, and I told my lover, I said "babe' there is a god" and I started crying harder cuz I knew I wasnt going to heaven, and the angel grasped my hand and lifted me out of my body, and we flew up into the heavens. And then I woke up in a cold sweat.

you know i read somthing about that in a magazine, if you get hurt in your dreams it means somthin, just like if you dont see yourself in a dream it means somthing....

ANYWAY, how do you know you die if you dont know what is after death?
