I have 2 but I don't think just having one is a problem... You may have a lower sperm count because of this but don't worry, it shouldn't affect anything... If you are really concerned, ask your parents or a doctor :D

Having one is no problem, it's just more difficult for your body to produce semen with one. My Friend got kicked by a horse and had one removed but he can still produce semen, and he can masturbate forever before ejaculating.

Having one testicle is totally fine, and I would not get self-conscious about it. You only need one testicle anyway to function totally normally, and the second testicle is basically just a back up. No one will notice that you have only one testicle unless they feel your scrotum, and don't worry about your situation. While the majority of guys have two testicles there are going to be folks out there who are going to be different such as having one testicle, in your case, or having up to three testicles. Basically, you are just like any other guy, and don't get help up about your testicle because there is really nothing you can do to change your situation.

Finding out that you're missing a testicle must be very stressful for you, I'm surprised no one told you before.

You have certain organs in pairs to serve as a back-up, so having one is just fine, you will produce as much sperm and testosterone as those with 2, your development will be normal, you will be able to father children, and you will be as masculine. Actually, the conditions that result in one testicle are quite common, so you're hardly alone.

As an FYI, when you're fully grown, you can get a testicular implant, which will look and feel like the other one if you are still self conscious. And, although most guys have 2, many have one, but no one has 3.

If you where born with just 1 testicle, you/your guardian(s) would know at a very young age. Via checkups with your doctor. Also, if your guardian(s) have ever seen you naked, changed your diapers, or anything of that sort would also know if you had one testicle...

Like previus posters have said No problemo. :) im surprised you havent found out till now... ur physician would have given you check ups where he examines testicular droppage... but no problem its fairly uncommon but ur not alone :D

This is not a joke. Some are born with only 1, the other one simply did not develop. Sometimes a testicle is damaged before/during/after birth, and one needs to be removed.

Having one testicle is fine just like a person can function perfectly well with one kidney or one lung. No one is going to notice your missing testicle unless they look really closely at your scrotum, and I would not worry about your situation. There are quite a few guys with one testicle out there for all sorts of reasons.

As for the OP just noticing his issue, you need to keep in mind that prior to puberty most guys really don't pay much attention to things "down there." I am sure that until the OP started puberty he really did not pay attention to his testicles, and now that he has gone through sex ed and realized that everyone has two testicles he is now concerned. You can't miss something that you did not know you were supposed to have in the first place.

you likely have 1 undecended testicle. your balls usually decend at or a few months after birth but surgery may be needed to bring it down. you only have i working testicle now as the other one is sterile untill it decends.

Listen, this is not true. There will be no difference in anything with one testicle, the OP will be just fine. One testicle is really quite common and no problem.

If he's self conscious about it, he can have an implant, a fake testicle, put in and no one will notice.

Oh, and I suppose you can ask for your medical history, seeing if you had to get one removed at some point. Since you dont know, maybe you born with cancer in the balls, and the doctors "cured" it by removing the bad one.

well if anyone of you know of jackass crew the guy named dave england only has one testicle because he lost it in a surgery accident, but your supposed to normaly have 2 but 1 provides the same amount of sperm as 2 (your body realizes that u only have one testicle so the remaining one works extra hard to keep sperm levels up)
