I officially dislike my mom. Heck, I disliked her since I turned 13....
that's not the reason for this thread...
Here's the reason. My little brother apparently can't log off of something that he's on, on his computer so mom wants me to go help out. What does my brother want from me? he could just refresh the page I guess. I told that to my mom, only, I said "Iunno. Maybe he can refresh the page or something, what else is there for me to do?"
She got all fussy, and said... these are her exact words:
"You're walking to work, and I will be telling your father". Bullshit. I very nicely told her what to tell my brother to do, and she has to be a bitch. G-d I can't stand the woman. I wish I didn't live at home sometimes.

let your mom cool down a bit and try talking to her about the argument. hopefully your mom will see that you are being mature and drive you to work

I told her like atleast five times to tell my brother to refresh the website.
She just came up and asked to take out his battery....like wtf? it annoys me. She doesn't know how to use the computer. and she thinks she does. when she doesn't. Gah.

the thing with parents is that they always think they are right in a situation with their kids. tell your mom that refreshing the page will work and that the battery has no affect on it.

Urgh. That can really tick someone of. Just tell her to refresh the page.

That was pretty weird of her to ask you to help your brother log off the computer.
But wouldn't it have been easier to just do it?
Then you would have a ride to work, and your mom wouldn't be mad at you.
Just saying

I agree. And you could also be smug because you managed to sort the problem out when neither of them could.

Chay, you know, this is only the second post of yours I've answered, and that's enough for me to figure your mom out! How come you can't?
She doesn't like back talk, she doesn't like defiance, she doesn't want a lot of convo when she tells you to do something. She's not asking your opinion or making a suggestion when she says these things to you, she wants your compliance!
Do what she asks or suffer the consequences, she doesn't want to hear from you in response to a request she's made.
If you do not like the way the dynamic is b'twn the 2 of you, it's best to calmly address that at a time when it's not playing itself out, which means when theres nothing going on b'twn you.
Some parents listen and are respectful, yours aren't. Your mom is into control. Adjust to it, or try to gently address it, but don't ignore it, you won't win.
