In the end, the only thing serial pest Peter Hore couldn't side step at EnergyAustralia Stadium was a Brett Finch crash tackle.
The long-time tormentor of sporting and cultural events, who has been banned for life from the venue, somehow managed to avoid security both outside and inside the ground to storm the field just 20 seconds after the kick off of Monday night's NRL match between Newcastle and Parramatta.
Hore, wearing a Chaser '07 T-shirt and with a guitar case on his back, jumped on top of Fuifui Moimoi as the Eels forward was being tackled, before halfback Finch came to the assistance of his teammate by tackling the intruder.
He was eventually escorted from the field by security before being taken away from the stadium by police.
Hore was expected to be charged by police on Monday night.
It is the third time Hore has disrupted a rugby league game at the venue - and second since being handed a life ban.
The last time he rode onto the field on a tricycle wearing a Ned Kelly style mask before letting loose a bunch of kittens.
Hore also ran on to the track during a Melbourne Cup and an Australian Grand Prix.
He is perhaps best known for interrupting Australia's 1997 World Cup qualifier against Iran.
hahahaha i was there when he rode out on the bike and let the kittens out. it was so funny lol. :P
