So I open my sister's laptop this morning to get on, comes out of sleep, fine. I get on the internet, fine. I then am waiting for a page to load, and the time disappears. From the upper right hand corner. I know it was there when I got on, I looked to see what time it was.

Did I click something? Do something? Is there an easy fix?

Maybe this is the problem. I have went into the system preferences, and tried to change it. I went to the date and time portion, and saw that the "Show date and time" box was unchecked. I checked it, and closed out. Nothing. I go back into the menu, and it's unchecked. I have clicked the lock numerous times. I can't get it to come back!

Help! We could have some major problems if I don't get this fixed.

Try restarting it. If not then yo ucan ask people from this website: www.dottotech.com There's a form there that you can fill out what your laptops problem is. They'll usually get back to you within 2 days though.

Did it leave a space were it would have been? Try updating your Mac, and if need be, call AppleCare if its still in the 90 day warranty or the 2 Year one if you bought that. Also just try looking around the System Preferences pane Date and Time.
