Hm, yeah foul language, I do that only when I'm very extremely mad. Sorry.

MOM... why the fuck are you trying to push my out of the nest like you're some goddamn cuckoo bird? Everyday you ask, "When are you moving? When are you going to be out exactly? I want my office back!".

I tell you the same date, every time. September fucking 1st, give or take a few days.

At least Tim and Jason offered me their couch to sleep on, and Sarah's mom their spare bedroom when I talked about your bitching and moaning to them.

For chrissake! Ever since the minute I turned 18, you've badgered me about moving out. Then you push me into getting that quad... nice theoretically, but I can't live in a cracker box... I need space! You've just never understood me.

Thank god for Sarah finding that town-house to pull me out of that effing quad situation. Quite frankly, I can't wait to move out because you're driving me nuttier than squirrel shit!

i hate it how moms nag. it pisses me off. you should tell her, "if you want me out of your life so badly, why don't you move out?"

Ya. I's like once they think we're done through the teenager years. They expect us o be adults and gain an overload of tasks and responsibility. Ah well I love how my mom reacted when I moved out.

Mom: "You're finally moving out"
Me: "Yeah"
Mom: "Well I guess I can use your room for storage"
Me: "Great...Your third closet"
Mom: "I have shoes you know"
Me: "That's the problem"

finally moving out when you're 18? my older brother has been 18 since june, and he's still here, but he'll be off to college soon. i think it's weird that your parents expect you to be completely moved out the day you turn 18.

And today's conversation...

Mom: I'm going to start bringing home boxes from work so you can start packing.
Me: What the heck, I'm not out for antoher month, where's the fire?
Mom: I want my office back. Think of it this way, "I love you, but get the heck out!"
Me: Maybe you shouldn't have let me move in in the first place when dad kicked me out.
Mom: I just want my office back. Pack your crap that you won't be needing.
Me: I'm staying at dad's tonight. At least he won't bitch about him wanting his couch back in the morning.

So, I am at my dad's tonight, away from the nagging.

Steph, my mother did the same exact thing with my sister. And then when she did move out my mom was "Oh hunny, you didn't have to leave so soon, you can still live at home."

What I suggest you do is when she starts, just calmly answer her, and say "You can have your office back on September 1st, until then you have something better. You have your daughter, your beautiful daughter." Add a cheesy grin in there if you want.

i like that idea. Logic that works against even the most unreasoble parent

*files it away so when I move out it will work on her*
