Row over Lindsay Lohan gay remark

Actress Lindsay Lohan has hit out at the Los Angeles police chief after he said the star had "gone gay".

"Police chiefs shouldn't get involved in everyone else's business when it comes to their personal life. It's inappropriate," Lohan said.

Chief William Bratton made the remark while explaining why he did not support a crackdown on the paparazzi.

The police chief was discussing problems with the paparazzi on LA news channel KNBC.

He said: "If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving, Paris is out of town not bothering anybody, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don't seem to have much of an issue."

Lohan gave her response in a video filmed by paparazzi and posted on celebrity website TMZ.

b/c she's a well known celeb and people will take an interest out of her, if they see her on the news, or in magazines like she normally is everyweek or so.

So we have nothing better to do than beat people down?

So why put celebs under the magnifying glass,
By having paparazzi digging up dirt on them,
Or not letting them have a moment's privacy from the spotlight?
It's so disgusting.

Because that's what being a celebrity is: throwing yourself into the spotlight for all the world to see. Then they get pissed off when the harsh stagelight shows all their imperfections. That's why fame is so overrated- what's the use of having everyone in the country know your name if they're just gonna take every tiny little thing about you to use as a sharpener for the guillotine?

And it's a shame because a lot of celebrities have talent...but they sometimes take a bad route because of fame.

I don't get why people are caring so much about her being gay /: so what? loads of celebs are gay and they don't get as much crap for it.

It's not even like people can pick their orientation, this is how she is and well... tough if people don't like it.
